Welcome to the 2023 season at Bowden House B&B, Melrose

Updated: Mar 8, 2023

Dear Guests,

We hope you all had a good start into 2023 and this newsletter finds you well. We at Bowden House Boutique B&B are busy getting everything ready for our 2023 main season. The garden starts to bloom with Daffodils and Camelias and we hope that the weather will grant us many sunny days for breakfasts on the terrace in this summer season.

What's new in our Melrose Bed and Breakfast?

Looking for a truly large bed?

Our Mahogany Double/Twin has now got a dividable mattress and will be bookable as a superking double bed or as a twin room as previously.

A little make-over:

Our cosy guests lounge will sport a revamp with new wood burner, wallpaper and curtains to create this lovely "coming home" feeling when you enter our B&B. Just sit down and relax in style.

Gourmet weekend at Bowden House B&B

14-16th of April:

We are so excited to share our very personal highlight for 2023 with you - our first ever event:

A gourmet weekend with guest chef Konstanze Hanke.

She will prepare a special 5-course meal plus champagne and coffee exclusively for our guests at Bowden House B&B on Saturday 15th of April 2023. Konstanze was runner up in the German TV show "Küchenschlacht" in 2022 (similar to the MasterChef series in the UK) and currently runs cooking courses and private functions in her home country Liechtenstein. Her cooking is divine and we would be delighted, if you could join us to experience her creations in our lovely dining room.

Melrose and Borders events not to be missed:

There will be plenty of reason to visit the Scottish Borders in the coming months. Melrose and the surrounding towns have put up numerous special events to attract you back for a break in our beautiful area.

March 17th - 19th: Borders Art Fair in Kelso, Springfield Park

April 8th: Melrose Sevens - the most popular Rugby 7s event in Scotland

May 25th: Hebridean Treasure: Lost & Found, Hawick - a captivating blends song, dance and storytelling with live Scottish and South Asian music to conjure up the ancient landscapes of the Scottish Isles and the inhabitant’s deep connection with the rhythms of nature.
